The L.A. Diaries

The L.A. Diaries

Up next in our travel series, we once again tag along with Sofia Espinosa Tcherassi, our jet-setting Director of Ready-to-Wear—this time to the City of Angels

This blazer and skirt set is perfect for walk down Melrose Ave. in West Hollywood. You can find some of the best shopping (from vintage to avant-garde) and dining in town. Don’t miss Alfred coffeeshop. I like this get-up because it is an easy way to look put together and I can use the blazer for traveling as well.

I also wore this matching set to an unforgettable visit to the Getty Museum, where they were showing a remarkable selection of Cy Twombly’s work and some wonderful Dutch illustrations I fell in love with. I especially loved the Twombly, as his work was part of the inspiration behind our Resort collection. This is one of my favorite places in L.A—not only do they have amazing collections on view, but the Getty’s architecture and views are truly stunning.

Overall, the vibe in Venice is very casual and laidback, so I wore the belted Bresanote Jacket with a pair of sneakers—perfect for a stroll around the Abbot Kinney vicinity after lunch. Home to some of the coolest shops and art galleries in town, this is one of my favorite parts of the city.

Another must-stop is hot spot, Gjelina, a Venice Beach staple I always like to visit when in town. I also love their outposts around the area: Gjusta Bakery and Gjusta Goods—I always leave with something I wasn’t planning on getting.

The Andie trousers are a Resort favorite and I topped them with a cropped jacket for dinner at the San Vicente Bungalows, a unique clubhouse in West Hollywood designed by hotelier Jeff Klein of the JK Hotel Group. I had been wanting to visit this place for some time now and it did not disappoint!
