Beauty as a Way of Life

Having started her career in interior design, Silvia has long embraced the idea that beauty isn’t just decorative—it’s a way of life. For this special edition piece, we spoke with her about the role aesthetics play in her universe.

It’s all Connected

“I don’t see boundaries between artistic disciplines—sometimes the curve of a sculpture or a series of brushstrokes is all it takes to spark the idea for a print or silhouette. In that sense, it’s hard for me to define the style of my home and my boutiques. I don’t adhere to a single concept, for example a palette or era; I love the art of mixing—blending mid-century modern pieces with bold acrylic designs from 1980’s Milan. There’s so much value in surrounding yourself with what you love and finding your own way of putting it together.”

The Power of Texture

“In fashion, texture can make or break a piece—it has the power to elevate and add dimension. In interiors, texture is what brings a space to life—it invites touch, adds warmth, and creates contrast, often telling a story in a way that is more subtle than shape or color.”

The Aesthete

“For as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about aesthetics. When I really reflect on it, beauty shapes nearly every aspect of my life—from how I work with fabrics and develop ideas each day to how we conceptualize our events. It even influences the films I choose to watch and the books that fill my home. I often think of that famous Diana Vreeland quote, “The eye has to travel,” because it holds true—not just in the context of travel, but in the objects, images, and experiences you choose to surround yourself with.”
