In the Spotlight: Chiara Totire

For Milan-based stylist Chiara Totire, fashion goes beyond clothing: it is an opportunity for storytelling and the generation of genuine emotion. A true summer muse, Chiara talked to us about her days working alongside Anna Dello Russo and her personal approach to summer dressing.

You got your start under Anna Dello Russo at Vogue Japan, a remarkable entry point into the industry. What first drew you to fashion, and how did that experience shape the way you work today?

I’ve always been drawn to fashion because it combines creativity, culture, and craftsmanship. Working alongside Anna Dello Russo at Vogue Japan was an incredible experience. It taught me that styling isn’t just about clothes. It's about telling a story, paying attention to every detail, and creating emotion through images. That approach has stayed with me throughout my career.

Do you have a summer styling philosophy for the season? What are some of your must-haves?

My summer styling philosophy is all about effortless sophistication. I like clothes that feel light, comfortable, and easy to wear

How has living in Milan shaped your personal style and the way you approach fashion?

Milan has had a profound influence on both my personal style and my professional approach. Living here has taught me to appreciate impeccable tailoring, beautiful fabrics, and pieces that have longevity rather than simply following trends.

When you’re surrounded by so much excellence in design and manufacturing, you develop an even greater appreciation for the work behind every garment, which is something I really connect with in Silvia Tcherassi’s collections.

Lastly, could you tell us a little bit about how you styled Look 1 and Look 2, and what you love most about each look?

The first look is all about effortless elegance. I wanted to let the silhouette and the beautiful terracotta shade speak for themselves, so I kept the styling very clean. I paired it with the matching bag and minimal sandals to enhance the sophisticated yet relaxed mood. The beautiful setting of Masseria Torre Coccaro provided the perfect backdrop.
