In the Spotlight: Vera de Tcherassi

The dialogue between art and Silvia Tcherassi has always been seamless, which is why Miami Art Week holds such importance for the brand. This year feels even more special as Vera de Tcherassi–dear mother of our Creative Director and the brand’s co-founde–makes her debut with a number of sculptures on view at Pinta, a fair devoted to Ibero–Latin American art.

The body of work, titled Highs and Lows… Just Like in Life, is an exploration of optimism through the language of color. “Having been part of the fashion industry for over 40 years has given me such a deep understanding of tones, volume, and texture,” she shares. “These pieces became a sequel to my last series, which was inspired by the single placement of a vertical element. I wanted to explore the highs and lows inherent in everyone’s journey—through color and through composition.”

Previously, Tcherassi’s work has been exhibited at the prestigious Galeria Fernando Pradilla in Madrid. A few select pieces will be on view at our boutiques in Madrid, Bal Harbour, Bogotá and Cartagena.
