The Silvia Tcherassi Scholarship

Silvia Tcherassi and top fashion and design school Istituto Marangoni Miami (IMM) come together once again to launch a second installment of their partnership through the “Silvia Tcherassi Scholarship”. After the initial launch of the scholarship in 2024, the scope has been widened to accept students from all Latin American countries. Expanding the pool allows more young talents with vision and determination to become active players in shaping their careers and fashion history this time, a four part-professional training session is to be awarded to lucky fashion talent in Latin America. This initiative aims to foster emerging talent in Latin America's fashion industry by offering young designers a unique opportunity for educational development and real-life professional training.

The scholarship, awarded annually, will provide opportunities for Latin American designers: four full-tuition scholarships and four partial scholarships covering 50% of the tuition for any IMM program, such as Fashion Business, Fashion Design, Fashion Styling, or Interior Design during a one-year intensive course in at the prestigious Istituto Marangoni Miami. “It is more important than ever to have proper training and preparation to succeed in the creative industries,” Tcherassi noted. “This scholarship is a meaningful step in that direction,” she added.

The recipient of the full scholarships will not only receive world-class academic training but also have the opportunity of a structured professional training program consisting of four checkpoints throughout the year during which Silvia and key members of her team would participate in professional training sessions focused on the winners’ professional and creative development. This, new format, offers a meaningful experience that is fully aligned with the dynamics of the company in all key areas of fashion and design, including production, sales and marketing. “We want the winners to experience the real workings of a brand, which will complement their education and motivate them to create their own label and business,” the designer emphasized.
