Winter Styling Notes

As we step into February and start to see (and feel!) the springtime on the horizon, we wanted to reflect on a season of style with resident expert, Sofia Espinosa Tcherassi, our Director of Ready-to-Wear, who had a particularly busy last few months thanks to year-end travels, work commitments and a jam-packed social agenda.

Here’s her take on her favorite looks and pieces on rotation.

A New LBD Alternative

“I love a lot of things about this dress: The deep cocoa shade, the seamless fit and elevating chain detail over the shoulder, but most of all, I love how versatile and wearable this is. I chose this look for a special night at the Perez Art Museum and accessorized with mixed metals– it seems less expected and feels fresh. I also wore it to dinner and drinks under an open trench in Madrid where the weather was a little cooler.”

Denim our Way

“This textured denim fabric in one of the brand’s signature color schemes was among my favorite materials from our Resort collection. Lightweight and slightly voluminous, the high-waist ensures a stunning fit. This take on a tried-and-true classic like denim was a novelty for us, but it still feels thoroughly Tcherassi. A few weeks ago, I dressed it up for meetings with one of our tailored blazers and added a belt for definition. The white leather booties added an unexpected edge and a youthful touch.”

Leather & Silk

“The more I wear this skirt, the more I dream about other versions of it. A showing of what I like to call ‘polished practicality’, I’ve worn it so many times these past few months and look forward to wearing it into the summer months. I wore it with a classic leather jacket recently–the combination of leather and silk feels daring and modern."

Top-notch

“Speaking of polished practicality, I can’t imagine my wardrobe without our latest version of a softly-tailored suit: The Cocoa Blazer and Palermo wide leg trousers. The response to this look has been overwhelming (in a great way). I think one of the job’s greatest joys is seeing women of all ages, body types and walks of life making our pieces their own. I opted for gold jewelry here, but I have also seen others wear it with minimal pieces and the effect is always striking.”
