SET Office Style

I’ve always thought that "dress for the job you want" is fantastic advice. In my case, I feel very fortunate to have the job of my dreams as Director of Ready-to-Wear for Silvia Tcherassi—a brand founded by my mother, Silvia, and my grandmother, Vera. I love seeing what both wear to the office and I definitely take into account what I think their thoughts might be on my outfits. I have picked up on so many things from their styles through the years.

Living in a bustling city like Miami means there is always a lot going on—I find that the warm weather influences one’s desire to be more social and active. Besides working from our headquarters in Coral Gables, my days often involve other social engagements here and there, for example a glass of rosé with friends at a rooftop with breathtaking views of the city or a team visit to new locations where we plan on opening boutiques soon. While I can’t help but feel that being well-dressed in the office is part of my job description, I really enjoy coming up with my everyday looks—also, you never know who might walk into our office doors.
These are the items I currently have on rotation:

Both my mother and I love a trench coat—more than the perfect transitional pieces, it is quite fun to re-envision them every single season. I love this checkered/embroidered option. I’ve not only worn it with sneakers in the office—sneakers are my go-to, especially when we are in the throes of developing a collection—but also with a pair of minimalist strappy sandals outside of the office. This piece is also great for those occasions in which I must go from the office to the airport.

Believe it or not, Miami is a city made for layering. I find that I go back and forth between the hot humidity and the freezing air conditioning. This set is perfect, as you can take off the vest for lunch al fresco and still look polished with one of our signature white cotton blouses or leave it on for meetings in the office. I paired it with booties, but it can also be worn with flat sandals.

I never tire of blue and white together. I love this dress from our Pre-Fall 2023 collection, inspired by our beloved Coconut Grove neighborhood. The blue makes me think of the water, the embroidery truly elevates it. The silhouette is very feminine and elevating details such as the collar cutouts make it special. Our resin handbags are ALWAYS a good idea. I keep several of them by my desk and grab whatever one looks best with my outfit that day. I do the same thing with our classic Dora Belt—it instantly refines and defines.
