Styling Notes 007

We are finally putting our heavier layers to the side and welcoming the light, breathable and vibrant fabrics of the spring season. In keeping with our tradition, we caught up with our Director of Ready-to-Wear, Sofia Espinosa Tcherassi, to get the lowdown on the ensembles and special pieces she  has on rotation at the moment.

A Burst of Florals

“One of my favorite things about living in Miami is being able to wear linen year round. I will definitely be wearing more and more of it in the spring and summer months. Both my mother and I adore printed linen. I wore this dress for a friend’s bridal shower recently and it felt perfect for the occasion. I styled it with wrap-around white sandals and I am already thinking of pairing it with heels and a dark blazer for an event coming up next month.”

White Dressing

“We created a very successful capsule a few years ago and everything in it was white. This dress makes me want to do another one. In my book, the little white dress is as essential as the LBD. In fact, when I think about the Tcherassi universe, our signature white shirting, wedding gowns and even home pieces immediately come to mind. I chose this dress for an event I hosted in our boutique in Tampa— there is also a version in black which I have worn twice already. My favorite thing about this dress is the guipure detailing–its romanticism and ease in a fresh, wearable way.”

The Perfect Balance

“The Sheryl halter has been a staple in my closet. This silhouette made its debut a few seasons ago: we wanted something daring but demure at the same time and the high neck/exposed back combo striked that perfect balance. The abstract print in one of my favorite palettes feels refreshing and gives a sense of renewed optimism.”
